Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor
Located 30 miles east of Chicago on Lake Michigan, one of the largest
inland harbors in the Midwestern markets and the Gulf of Mexico through
the Inland Waterway System and direct access to the Atlantic Ocean via
the Saint Lawrence Seaway. Port of Indiana – Burns Harbor services heavy
industry, light manufacturing and warehousing businesses with tenant
services including tug, barge fleeting, railroad switching, waste
disposal/sanitation, security and fire protection.

Saint Joseph/Benton Harbor, Michigan
Located northwest of Elkhart County on Lake Michigan, the deep draft
port has a project depth of 21 feet. Maintained by the Army Corps of
Engineers it accommodates various vessels including barges and ships
over 600 feet long. Cargo primarily consists of bulk commodities such as
limestone, gravel, aggregate for cement making, sand and road salt.
