Elkhart County and the surrounding
area tout many fine museums. The area, though, thrives on Automotive
Museums. The Studebaker Museum is just 20 miles away, in South Bend, the
home of Studebaker. One of the best classic car museums in the world is 65
miles away, in Auburn, IN, home of the Auburn, Cord and Duisenberg automobiles.
The Gilmore Museum is only 75 miles away in Michigan and has reconstructed red
barns filled with classic cars. They also have an authentic old gas
station and diner and a miniatures museum.
Elkhart, itself, has the RV/MH Hall
of Fame which is full of old and fascinating first edition RV's.
