The Quality of Life in Elkhart
County is one of its main attractions for businesses and their employees and
managers. It is only 2 hours from Chicago without the hassle of big city
living, and its an easy trip on I-80/90 all the way. The county also has
some magnificent homes, with large sites or river views, and much more
affordable than in other parts of the county.
The summers are great around here
with all the lakes and challenging golf courses around. There are over 650
lakes in the immediate area surrounding our county. During the winter,
sports like downhill skiing, snowmobiling and ice-fishing take over. The
area is close to surprisingly good wineries, world-renowned museums and the
interesting Amish population.
All-in-all, Elkhart County offers an
easier, more affordable and more interesting background for your daily life.
