Winter sports abound
in Northern Indiana and its bordering state of Michigan, including snowmobiling, ice sailing,
dog-sledding and others, many with sanctioned races. There are more than 50 ski resorts
in Michigan, offering nearly every kind of skiing and snowboarding, with average
lift tickets less than $50.
Many cities and towns have winter
festivals featuring snow and ice sculptures.
