New technologies have allowed significant advances in how employees are trained. In the past we had paper procedures/work instructions residing in binders on a shelf, and then those were improved by digital photographs.
Now operator training can be video work instructions, available on-demand via cell phones, tablets, or computers through wireless Internets and intranets. These work instructions include pictures, video, and voice narration, which significantly improve the quality of the training and the effectiveness of the learning experience.
