- Workforce Ready Grant program for working-age Hoosiers
- Employer Training Grant program for Indiana employers

Cancellations must be submitted 10 business days prior to start of workshop date in order to receive a full refund. Those cancelling within 5-9 business days prior to start of workshop will be assessed a 15% charge.
No refund will be issued for cancellations less than 5 business days prior to start of workshop.
A full refund of registration fees will be made if Purdue MEP exercises its right to cancel the program.

Introduction to Programmable Logic Controllers - March 6-7 and 12-14, 2025 (5 days)
March 6, 2025 at 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
This five-day workshop provides the basic skills and knowledge you need to work with the programmable logic controllers (PLCs) found in a typical manufacturing plant. The course begins with a review of relay logic, and then you’ll learn PLC programming, including general logic, timers, counters, and math functions, followed by human-machine interface (HMI) programming.
Leading Gen Y & Z

Estimates show the workforce now has more Gen Y and Gen Z than any other generation. On a daily basis, Baby Boomers are retiring by the thousands, which makes this statement even more so. As with each generation before them, Generations Y & Z have their own way of looking at things. What interests them, what motivates them, what drives them is different than Boomers and Gen X. This course helps leaders to understand those differences and how to best lead teams with Gen Y and Gen Z in them.

This six-day workshop covers the foundational concepts of electricity, including terms, circuits, direct and alternating current for the first two classes. The foundational concepts of electric motors and industrial transformers in the second two classes and basic industrial print reading, relay logic, industrial controls, and numbering system in the third two classes. The course also includes numerous exercises and examples. Participants who complete this course can expect to gain knowledge and learn skills useful in an industrial environment.
