In this half-day workshop, you’ll learn the basic principles of lean manufacturing and how to apply them through an activity that involves a fast-paced simulated production line. You’ll also learn about the eight wastes and lean techniques including 5S, standardized work, batch-size reduction, and visual signals. By the end of this day, the benefits of lean will be clearly apparent!
En este taller de medio día, usted aprenderá los principios básicos de la fabricación lean y cómo aplicarlos a través de una actividad que simula una línea de producción de ritmo rápido. También aprenderá acerca de los ocho desperdicios y técnicas lean, incluyendo 5S, trabajo estandarizado, reducción del tamaño del lote y señales visuales. Al final de este día, ¡los beneficios de lean serán claramente evidentes!
Objectives:
- Define “lean” as it relates to manufacturing.
- List and describe the eight wastes.
- Describe standardized work, 5S, visual controls, plant layout, quick changeover, batch reduction, point of use storage, pull/Kanban, cellular flow, and total productive maintenance and how they fit into lean manufacturing.
- Describe the benefits of lean manufacturing.
Objetivos:
- Definir “lean” en relación con la fabricación.
- Enumerar y describir los ocho desperdicios.
- Describir el trabajo estandarizado, 5S, los controles visuales, el diseño de planta, el cambio rápido, la reducción de lotes, el almacenamiento en el punto de uso, pull/Kanban, el flujo celular y mantenimiento productivo total y cómo encajan en la fabricación lean.
- Describir las ventajas de la fabricación lean.
Intended audience:
Manufacturing personnel, including technicians, engineers, and managers.
Workshop length: 4 hours
